In 2013 Speedo began work on building a dedicated brand site to sit separately from its ecommerce store. I was brought in as sole copywriter for the huge project, which involved writing all content for launch.
From athlete profiles, landing page copy, video descriptions and in-depth technology pages (Fastskin, IQfit™, Sculpture etc) to dropdown menus, titles and meta details, I wrote new and unique copy that covered the entire Speedo site.
I also repurposed existing features and wrote a bank of new, inspirational swimming technique, fitness and lifestyle features for the News, Tips and Advice section.
In addition to the Speedo brand site, the project included writing content for Speedo’s then soon-to-be-launched corporate website, www.insidespeedo.com, covering everything from Speedo careers information to the brand’s position on the environment, ethical trade and CSR.
